Amy Laverty has an integrated approach to her practice including portraiture, fine art and medical photography. She graduated from Ulster University with a BA Hons Photography with Video after completing an HND Media and Moving Image at Belfast Metropolitan College. Her main focus deals with medical themes ranging from disabilities to social circumstances/situations. She aims to involve the viewer to consider difficult themes through metaphor.

 

Amy photographs objects. She tackles uncomfortable subject matter to encourage visibility for marginalised groups. She  is experienced in commercial settings and takes bookings for events and portrait sittings.
